Tea Exporters Association (TEA) was first set up in 2001 representing a unified body for the tea exporters operating across Sri Lanka.
In 1824 a tea plant was brought to Ceylon by the British from China and was planted in the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya.
Tea brokers put out monthly market reports on Tea Sales, Tea Exports and Tea Prices
